Overmono have a way of making a chopped-up voice feel like someone trying to tell you something important through a crowded room. Good Lies, the Welsh brothers’ debut album, gives that feeling room to breathe between clipped garage rhythms, bass pressure and softer stretches. On Is U, the vocal keeps circling while the beat nudges everything forward. There’s plenty of club weight here, but the little traces of longing are what follow you out the door.
