Fontaines DCRomance

Grian Chatten and the band trade their earlier abrasive post-punk edges for something more expansive and neon-lit here. The sound feels broader, moving from claustrophobic Dublin streets into a hazy, cinematic landscape where synths and heavy distortion coexist. Starburster captures that shift perfectly, balancing a breathless vocal delivery with a massive, swelling production. It is a record that feels intensely private yet built for large rooms, finding a strange beauty in the friction between their signature grit and these newfound, lush melodies.
